Hi,

I was uncomfortable giving a quite wrong answer to Nitesh about OCPP Protocol.
I mentioned to him the link to the doc portal (quite recent, yesterday) about that and said he should wait for 15.2
But the White Paper is talking about 12.0!

My questions are, is it (OCPP) official or not and why doesn't it appear in the list:
https://www.pcvuesolutions.com//support-a-services/resources/communications-drivers

Can a System Integrator configure OCPP project on his own right now?

Thanks
Regards
Edouard

HI Edouard,

I moved your topic to the Private forum.

I think you should ask this question to the people which wrote the white paper you are talking about!
For me, if it is not on our official web page that means it is not officially available.

Nico

Hi Nico,

But the white papers are available to the public I guess, for whoever that are subscribed to the doc portal? I don't know who wrote the white paper, but we wait for clarification.
The white paper in question is this one : https://www.pcvuesolutions.com/docportal/index.php?option=com_edocman&view=document&id=389

Hi,

Ok for internal Forum.
Kantha highlighted the fact that version 12.0 is the beginning of the story, thus some years ago.
Actually, the OCPP white paper is flagged 'Public'

Hello Edouard,
Even in version 15.1 it is not very easy for an integrator to do it alone, maybe yes for those who are familiar with PcVue.
Recently with Manu, we went to install somme charging stations with OCPP Protocol (Version 15.1) in Marseille.
The files to add to PcVue's bin are only available on request, so we are sending them to customers. I heard that there are also other sites in Lyon (I don't know in which PcVue 's version, maybe 12) that also had Manu's help to install.
Regards,

Diana.

Hi all,

I agree, things are a little bit out-of-sync with this subject matter.
By the time of writing the driver is not completely straight-forward to set up. We are working on a Application Architect library that shall facilitate the integration. And of course we are working on a KB article that explains the usage of the protocol and provides you the necessary components, plus full documentation.

Originally, the plan was to train the services team on this driver in fall 2021. Due to the fact that the Architect library is not yet completely final we needed to postpone this effort to next year. Meanwhile, I recommend you to contact Emmanuel, Diana or me in case that you have a customer request for OCPP. Basically the procedure is the same as with many SvManager drivers in the early stages. Thanks for your comprehension.

P.S: The driver is compatible with all PcVue versions that are compiled with .NET Framework 4.8, which is not the case for PcVue 12.0. Please let me double-check the White Paper.
