Hi,

Some will say it is too late for posting in the Spoiler category, but let me share here some of the news :woohoo:

I start today with the concept of 'scope', and the newly introduced 'HMI variables'.
I invite you to have a look in the online help, in particular the topics listed below.

These topics are where the concept of 'scope' is introduced and also where you will find some useful wording to describe the different 'kinds of variables' ('classes de variables' in French). In particular, we introduce the terms 'I/O and internal variables' to designate the kind of variables that can be distributed across stations, as opposed to 'HMI variables', 'temporary variables' and 'percent variables' that cannot be distributed.
The concept of 'kind of variable' (I/O and internal variables, HMI variables, Percent variable or Temporary variables) is introduced as a complement to the concept of 'type of variable' (bit, register or text).

Featured topics in the Application Explorer.Variables sub-book:

  • The variable Tree.Overview.About the Variables Tree
  • The variable Tree.Overview.Understanding how to use the scope
  • The variable Tree.Overview.Configuration Items Affected by Scope
  • The variable Tree.Configuring variables.Configuring variables in general.Properties Common to all Variable types
  • The variable Tree.Configuring variables.HMI Variables
  • The variable Tree.Configuring variables.Temporary Variables

I hope you will find it helpful and don't hesitate to give some feedback on the chosen wording.
