Hello all,

I got a requirement from one customer: if one alarm is triggered but it is off within 3/5 seconds, then they dont want PcVue records the alarm's event(on/off), and dont display it in the HMI(Alarm viewer).

Do you think in PcVue, there is some settings to make it? Otherwise, for each alarm they need an internal bit with chronometer to make it.

Thx a lot!

Yes you can delay the alarm.
The option is in advanced tab and named "Temporization"

Hello Nico,

Yes, I tried that option, but it did not work, it can only delay the alarms with the seconds you set.

Hello Shu Quan,

I share Nicolas' point of view.
What is expected by your customer? If you configure a chronometer, you will manage 2 alarms:
The first one which is classic and the second one confirmed after the chrono. Is it so?

What is your requirment.
"if one alarm is triggered but it is off within 3/5 seconds, then they dont want PcVue records the alarm's event(on/off), and dont display it in the HMI"
The option talked about by Nico does exactly what you wanted to do.

Please redefine your request so we can help.

Hello Experts,

Sorry i did not update the info, i am making a 3 days training in another customer's office.

After i check the option with external alarms or alarms as threshold, the option can work well. Last time, i used the internal bit with command & alarm, it does not work.:(

BTW: I found that PcVue has different behaviors with these two types of alarm, because last time, we found that PcVue did not record the first changed status of the internal bit with command & alarm if the Saved option un-ticked even it has an initialization value.

Thanks for your help. That's why I love our forum so much!
