Hello all,

How can we trigger an alarm bit, if communication to a device is failed? For example if the communication cable to a PLC is disconnected an alarm bit should turn ON. Thank you for the support.

Hi Tijo,

There are system variable which give you information about the communication state :

System. for the network state.
System.. for communication state with a plc.

Hope it helps.

Hello Tijo,

To complete the Brice's answer:

4297=641 CommunictionStatusVariables

You can then either use them or make an expression on variable (or SCADA Basic program) to set an internal alarm
