Hi,
I encountered recently an issue with Alert that I would like to share with you.
Context: Some tags are declared in Alert and NOT in PcVue. Tags are using whatever OPC or DDE channels.
Effect: Alert is periodically disconnecting the OPC/DDE connection and reconnects.
In Log Filesopcsrv.log we can see this sequences indefinitely

What are PcVue and Alert versions ?

A very recent one.
But, for sure, even the last one has the same behaviour. Actually it's not a bug, Alert is done like that apparently!

But why do you have variable in ALert and Not In PcVue ?
These variables in ALert are connected to PcVue ?

Typically the customer has removed some variables from PcVue but forgot removing also in Alert...

Ok, so Bug coming from PcVue OPC/DDE Server which not accept suscribe for inexistant variable and cut communication with ALert and after Alert restart communication again and again.
