Hi,

has anyone ever had the experience with different languages in the logviewer in a WTS architecture?

To be more specific: In my case the language of the server was switsched from spanisch to german, the client stations are in spanish.
So the new logviewer entries were displayed in german on the client stations as well.

Is this a known issue or is there a solution for that, respectively?

Thanks!
Daniel

I suggest you to make a SPR.

Daniel,
Did you try to force the language in German using the Settings?

Daniel,
Did you try to force the language in German using the Settings?

You mean that languages are flipped between server and client?

Server lang#1: Spanish
Server lang#2: German

Client lang#1: German
Client lang#2: Spanish

That is unlikely, because as Daniel already mentioned it is a WTS project with all stations running exactly the same project configuration.

Or which settings do you mean?

Before making an SPR we would like to know if it is actually supposed to be working and if it is a configuration mistake. I mean, for sure, this is not the first and only multi-language/multi-station project.

From my understanding the log data is taken from the database by the archive server. At this stage a log is only identified by its event id (and maybe variable name). The response to the loglist request is transmitted to the client where the event id (and possibly the variable title) is evaluated and translated into the language currently active on client side. Is that correct?

I don't know Armin. Actually I have no experience on TS.

But, what is your config? Did you configure the multilingual for archives?
If yes, which one? Spanish or German?
What is the Project config? Spanish/German or German/Spanish?

How is the server OS? German or Spanish? And Client OS?

About the log process, logically it should be like that. Logically....
