Hello guys,
I have heard, that there is something on the roadmap to make it possible to use Azure Databases. Does someone know the reason behind?
We are right now experimenting with the Azure Cloud and I tried to connect to a created DB, but without success yet. It seems to be connected, I can also browse the DB and HDS throws no errors on startup. But nothing is written to the DB.
Do you know something about the restrictions?
Is there maybe a trick, like enter a manual connection-string?
Thank you in advance.
Hello,
Yes, there is a connector for Azure databases in the roadmap. We will give moredetails later, the specification is still in progress. It will come with new tables format.
The HDS is unable to connect to this kind of database, otherwise we would not have to develop a specific connector 😉
In fact, the HDS uses ADO components to connect to SQL Server and Access databases, but we need ADO.Net for Azure databases.
Thank you for that information. --> Closed
