Hello,
I submit a question from a customer, very basic!
In the case of a proprietary archive unit, when PcVue writes the file h9999999.dat, it starts again with the file h0000000.dat (assuming that it has already been removed from ProjectName/TH/ArchiveUnit)? If not, what would be the new nomenclature?
In that case, in the BackUp/ArchiveUnit folder this file (h0000000.dat) already exists, how would it be done to avoid conflicts between them?
Thanks for the support !
Claudia
Hello Claudia,
Correct, after the highest index it reached, it will loop to number 0.
With PcVue standard runtime, it is really quite impossible to have all the files on the same folder. Nevertheless, if the file is still there, it will simply be deleted and replaced by the new (current) one.
In case a triggering bit is configured to backup archive files, the next trigger would launch files copy and overwrite existing ones if any (in other words, FIFO in the backup folder)
Hi Edouard,
Ok, thank you very much !!
Claudia
