Hi.

Do you know if there is a secret option that allows starting the HDS window in "normal window mode"? I mean not minimized and put into the Windows tray.

Problem in this particular case is that sv32.exe and hds.exe are launched as Windows services. For debug purpose the user has access to PcVue through the interactive services detection but he has no access at all to the HDS because due to its minimized nature it does never request Windows to show an interactive screen.

For me there is no option to do this, but you can ask to Arnaud.

Yes, I think only Arnaud can help you on this point.
But, you know, everything you set in this window is located in HdsConf.dat.....(of course you will have to restart).

The solution used by customers is to manually change the HdsConf.dat to change the Traces of HDS, PcVue stopped.
And also they read HDS.log from Log Files to see what append.

@Ludo: Yes, of course, I fully agree. This is the procedure I also recommended. In fact, I put the question mainly out of curiosity.

@Nico: It is mainly because of these settings in the HDSConf.dat that I asked for a "secret option". In this file we find settings like "EnableUI", "EnableTraceWindow" and so on... So I thought maybe there could also be an undocumented "WindowModeStartup"? 😉
