Recently one of our clients has requested to rename the OPC Server Service id of PcVue because they have several installations and wish to identify them not just by IP address but also by Service Program ID:

An example would be from SV.OPCDAServer.1 to SV.OPCDAServerSite1.1

Is it possible to rename it ?

By doing so will we violate any of the software agreement ?

It is not possible to rename the OPC ProgID.
PcVue is using it internally too...
