Email retain period if error on the email server

Hi,

Takato asked me about the email feature in PcVue, especially when there is a disconnection and reconnection after a period.
With a quite simple project it is easy to confirm that while sending emails is working fine on event, if you disconnect the computer or VM from the network, then trigger events, at reconnection the emails are sent properly.
PcVue informs about both situations, error message for disruption (exceptions) and later the recovery email connection.
So as far as PcVue internal buffer is not full, I would say that all messages are kept until email server reconnection.

Do you agree?

I agree, but what is the buffer size? Is it configurable?

Hi Nico,

I don't think it is configurable for email feature.
I think it is included in the 300000 internal buffer management.

In my understanding there are 2 internal buffers

The first one is related to this error message "Liste pleine type=0 LinkEnd count=8192 max=8192" (in French)
I guess it is for Event, Cyclic, ... (one buffer for each)

The second one is 300000 for overall.

I guess the emails are managed by the first one
