A scenario:- Register with threshold

lolo < 20
low < 50
high < 70
hihi < 90

When we select or trigger an lolo alarm and we are inferior the value, so in this case lolo and low alarms will appears at the Alarm Viewer.Same goes to hihi, high alarm will appear when hihi reached.

Any work around or setting, to avoid both alarms to be appear, I mean when lolo alarm, only show lolo alarm and not including the low alarm. (Alarm Viewer)

Please advise

Hi Nagen,

Simply use the "Masked-by-variable"-feature for this purpose.
For example, if the high-variable is masked by the hihi-variable, it means that if hihi is ON the status of the high variable becomes "Unavailable - Masked by variable".

1840=287 masked1
1840=288 masked2

P.S: I just discovered that I made a mistake during taking the screenshots. Of course, you need to apply the masked-by-variable-behavior to the high variable.
It is exactly the same for low and lolo.

"Mask-by-variable" was also available in PcVue 9.0. Check the documentation of PcVue 9.0 in "Configuring variables > Alarm variables > About alarm variables > Standard Alarm Options".
