Hello all,

Did anyone of you know how to save cyrillic characters in varexp.dat ?
I've tried different format to open varexp in Excel, but at PcVue starting, it doesn't work. It returns false characters in PcVue.

Hi Loick,

Please check with Johannes. He has recently collected a huge amount of experience with the cyrillic character set - also in the scope of using the language import/export.

As a first step I would recommend setting the language for non-unicode applications in the Windows control panel to Russian.

Hi Loick,

When setting the language for non-unicode application properly in Windows, you will be able to insert Cyrillic text object in a mimic.

To have Cyrillic characters in the varexp, you have to use a Russian OS.

Yes, Set the non-Unicode Language to russian and also the Format. Then you can Open varexp in pc8 Format and Save as MS-DOS CSV like in all Other languages. Excel Uses the Language You configured then.
