Hello,
I am Nitesh Dongare from PcVue India one of our customer wants to communicate between Allen Bradley Micrologix 1400 and PcVue 12. On KB I got article 854 which shows communication using ethernet IP. By reading that article, I got below doubts :
1.What to do with the files contain in EIP_Task folder?
2.How to create EthernetIP.ini file?
3.What to configure in Configure -> Communication -> Equipment
Hope anybody can help me solved this. Any other method or documents, videos available on rockewll communication are also needed.
Hi Nitesh,
This article has been done in 11.2 version.
Now in 12.0, all these DLLs should be already in the Pcvue Bin folder
Also the help should explain how to implement this driver. If not, you can get the svmgrEIP.pdf from the Kb article
How to create EthernetIP.ini? Notepad lah!! :cheer:
Nico
In PcVue driver library, I can see one more protocol RSLinx natively. Then which protocol should I select from RsLinx and EthernetIP?
The documentation for how to set up and configure the EtherNet/IP add-on is in the PcVue online help, in the section Extras & Add-ons.
Unfortunately, I am not sure the AB Micrologix range is supported. Only EIP Explicit Messaging is implemented in by our driver, works with CompactLogix, ControlLogix, DriveLogix and FlexLogix controllers, but I do not think it works with Micrologix.
Anyone able to confirm ?
Hi,
I tried to add Micrologic 1400 using RSLINX protocol but didn't succeed. Can anybody help me on setting parameters for RSLINX like Protocol specific attributes, NEtwork address, Virtual port and message timeout?
EtherNet/IP driver support ONLY Control Logix and Compact Logix NOT Micrologix.
To communicate with Micrologix you must use an OPC server (Kepware or RSLinx) or if the PLC supports Modbus, please proceed with that.
Hello,
As asked by Benoît, can anyone plese confirm on Mcrologix 1400 ethernet IP communicatipn support with PcVue.
Thanks & Regards,
Nitesh Dongare
