Hello,

We have a customer here in Chile that is asking about PcVues compatibility with certain protocols.
Their exact list is: Harris, RECON 11, LANDIS & GYR, CONITEL and INDACTIC32

From what I could figure out:
- Harris and CONITEL are protocols to connect to special RTUs.
- INDACTIC32 may have been spelled wrong, because INDACTIC33/41 protocol seems to exist and is another specific protocol to some RTUs.
- LANDIS & GYR seems to be a brand name of specific hardwares that use MODBUS.
- RECON 11. I could not find anything regarding this one.

If I am wrong please correct me about any of this information I found on internet.

More importantly, is PcVue compatible in any way with these strange protocols? (Modbus is ok hehe)
Maybe via OPC or something?

Any info you might know is very useful.

Thanks a lot! 🙂
Alejandro

Hi Alejandro

As far as I know, we don't support any one. I suggest going trough an OPC Server.

Hi Nico,

And do you know of any cases where an OPC Server has been used?

Which OPC Server was it? Did it work well?

Just to have a reference.

Merci beaucoup!
Alejandro
