Hello all,
A customer wants PcVue to comunicate with the Siemens Simotion-D425
We saw 2 Ways to communicate with it:
Use Profibus DP:
In that case the PC needs a communication board to plug the Profibus cable. PcVue has the Profibus DP protocol.
Use Profinet:
In that case we need to establish an Ethernet connection between simotion d425 and PcVue.
And the problem seems the same for PcVue, we need a communication board to communicate through Profinet.
Does somebody know a better way to communicate trough Profinet or Profibus ?

I don't if the profibu-DP protocol works fine with PcVue.
Usually we use their OPC Server to communicate through Profinet or Profibus
If you didn't already asked him, you should contact Manu D. He'll be able to give you a better answer.
