Hi all,
You will find attached documentation (coming from Manu) about how to make communication work with a S7 PLC, using NL50 converter from Hilscher.
Please feel free to ask Manu if you need further explanations.
I will make a KB article later 🙂
Where is the attached file. I cannot see the link
I do attach the file but it does not seem to work...does anybody know why?
Nico, I need you help 🙂
I dont know why but Kunena accepts in attachment only zip files and images.
Hello, I checked the configuration and the allowed extensions are:
txt, rtf, pdf, zip, tar.gz, tgz and tar.bz2
I just added doc, docx, ppt, pptx, xls and xlsx.
If there is another extension to add, just ask.
One more try...I zipped the docx file
Let me know if it's better
PS: Manu, next time, you will do it by yourself 🙂
Hé hé YES SIR.
Maybe it's a stupid question but I ask it :
Why using IPO-ISO-S7 when you're using Hilscher NL 50. The driver for Hilscher NL-50 is available in PcVue.
Is it to use the Step 7 Smart Generator with Hilscher MPI connector?
Hi Manu
If you have a configuration where you have Profibus network and Tcp/Ip network then with this solution you only need to use one protocol.
Another case might be if you bought your NL50 but not through Arc then the NL50 will not be coded correctly to be use with the Hilscher NL driver.
Doing performannce test we found that the Ip Iso S7 driver is as fast as the NL 50 driver.
Hello all!
I re-open this very old thread.
I have 2 x S7/300 PLCs with MPI port on the CPU.
Connecting 1 PLC only with NL50 & IP-ISO-S7 driver works like a charm!
I'm wondering if I can use this single NL50 module to talk with 2 PLCs in the same MPI network.
Apparently is not possible using the IP-ISO-S7 driver since it accept only IP addr/Rack/Slot, but what about the HILSCHER-NL native driver?
Thank you very much!
