DataExportConf.xml broadcast in client-server architectures

Hello, imagine the following scenario:

- Several PcVue RDS client running across several RDS servers
- Working mode: each RDS session has it's own project folder
- Client users has allowances for creating new Data Export configurations (F11 key) even with Runtime license

-> How to distribute Data Export configuration modification to other PcVue clients?
I was thinking DataExportConf.xml can be copied and replaced on-the-fly, but it's not: PcVue reads it at startup and overwrite it at exit.

Any idea?

Data Export is 'importable' by using XML Import I guess

Thank you Nico!!! I tried with Smart Generator:

5010=811-7102e64eb9d79a67d3bccf0193ed8bb7

But... nothing to do, apparently the file is not recognized... do you think I should create an SPR for this?

Filippo,
The xml Import format is different than that one
I attached one in example. To make it work you must create 1 proprietary unit Unit01 and 1 variable Register01 (trend in Unit01)

Thanks a lot Nico for this!! Really appreciated!

But... unfortunately in this way I can't easily broadcast what an user configure on "RDSCLIx" on others RDS Clients... 🙁

Best for me is to have something like USER.DAT (you can replace it on-the-fly meanwhile PcVue is working...)... I try to create an SPR WISH... 🙂
