HI,

I have the problem in Dream Report 4.2 that I can't generate Excel reports.
The according checkboxes are checked.

In the Runtime Management Console I can choose to generate an excel report and at first it looks ok, because there is no error message or something like that.

But the file just won't be generated.

Any tipps? Do you need more information?
Due that I'm new to Dream report I don't know which files are useful for analysis.

Thanks.

Hello,

Do you know tables must have title to be exported to EXCEL?

Anyway I did a small video that can be interested for those who don't know how it works.

I noticed in the Excel Settings, that you obviously can only add a Item Table OR a Step Table.
Once you created a step table or a item table, you can't add the other one.

Also when you delete one of them.

For example: There is a item table and step table in the report.
in the excel .sheet you can only add the table that was created first.
Even if you delete this table and save the report, you still can't add the still existing table to the excel sheet.

In my opinion, this can't be by design!

Hi,

I think I found another issue in Dream Report 4.2, also regarding the step table in the Excel report.
You can't add step table to an Excel report unless you checked the option "Display table name" or assigned a name to the table.

One more question:
If I want to zip a DR project, I always get the message that some files are open and the system can't access those files.
I shut down all DR dependent processes via task manager, but it still doesn't work. Is there any way to shut down the whole thing at once without restarting the computer?

Thanks.

Daniel

Hello Daniel,

In my first answer I eplained that tables must have title to be exported.
Relax I will explain it to you soon during a 2 days training 🙂

You can't properly zip the project because of Web folder which is attached to IIS.
Delete the virtual directory DRWeb or start another project to release this folder.
