Hello all,

we have a customer, who uses a phoenix gsm modem. When testing the connection with PcVue the AIExplorer gets frozen. An error message occurs in the event-viewer:

2015/05/21,16:17:07.263,6,W,,6218,dosdpc,1,Error on sending sms = SMS profile 'NITISH' or its account does not exist or has been deleted

We also tried to send a message on an event with the same result.

Does anybody has an idea what could be wrong?
- Configuration?
- Compatibility?

Maybe it is possible to activate extended traces?

Every information would be helpful

Thank you.

I would redo the configuration from scratch in a testing project...

OK guys,

the problem was not the configuration. The customer used the wrong modem. After speaking with Jin Chun, we only support modems, listed in the flow-control-dropdown-box in the advanced settings of the SMS-Account configuration  and no there is nothing in help and the list of modems described in the knowledgebase is also not completely. I will make a request to Gilles.

The problem is, that there are a lot of parameters for the flow-control. So right now, almost every new modem has to be implemented hard coded into PcVue source-code.

To perform that, Jin Chun gave me a tool. This tool can be used to establish a communication between the tool and the modem. after successful communication is established, the tool provides the possibility to make a configuration-dump, which has to be sent to Jin Chun. After that he can add it to the source code.

It is already on the road map to implement a wizard in PcVue to detect automatically the configuration of the modem.

Find attached the tool provided by Jin Chun

Sorry guys I tried but without success, no browser is able to attach files on my Computer. Maybe because of 7.zip ending? I dont know. If somebody Needs the tool, please ask me or even better Jin Chun.

you must use IE to attach a file.
It accepts .zip or images files only
