Hi PcVue Experts,

Our customer IREAL met an emergent question.
The issue is that the log viewer of PcVue Server station displaying something un-normal occasionally, see below, detailed information please see log file .

2016/09/14,15:18:55.843,0,I,,1,,1,There is a leak of handle, a workaround is to set the Count property of [ThreadPool] section in Settings.ini file in ETC folder to 181
2016/09/14,15:18:55.843,0,I,,1,,1,The consumption of handle is too large, you have to relaunch the supervisor, HandleCount=235562

The project and log files can be sent to you if you want, and the OPCCLIENT1 and OPCCLIENT2 in Networking are two PcVue clients that work as servers communication with third party system.

Could you find the probable reason based on these two messages, or who I can look for, thanks very much in advance.

Best Regards,
Mark

Hi Mark,

When doing nothing, it will lead to a crash at any given time because of free memory not enough.

Hello All,

A client has its PcVue 11.0 Project threads building up, we have set the threadpool up to 1000 (I think this is the 5th total threadpool upgrade on site)

Why do the threads still there even though the client has restarted the ServerPC several times, it is not releasing the threads. Can we force the thread being released ? This project has LNS layer issue too

I'm stil confused between Handles and Threads, are they both related ? Why do we set the threadpool but actually it is for handles, not threads. Why don't they call it handlepool ?
