Know that we got feedback from Filippo that the installation package for PcVue 11.2.06030 triggers an alert from the Avast free antivirus software.
Avast generates an alert for the svuic.dll file by detecting the presence of Win32:Evo-gen.
The Avast rule causing the detection is a very generic rule that seem to generate lots of false positive.
The file was submitted to Virus Total to check what other antivirus say, and the result is that only Avast detects it as suspicious (among a long list of 56 AV software).
It has all the signs of the false positive, but we have contacted Avast to understand what could happen and be sure.
In the meantime, in case you get a similar feedback from a customer, please ask:
- The name and version of the antivirus software
- The date and version of the AV rules
And let me know promptly.

Avast confirmed us that it is a false positive.
They have changed the detection in their rules - It will be shipped to Avast customers as part of a next signature update.
