PcVue 12.0.16 installation error code 1638

Bonjour,

There is a customer in Mexico that is trying to install PcVue 12.0.16 on a machine with Windows 10 Home.
When they click install PcVue on the installer, it begins to try to check the prerequisites and then throws an error window that has the error code 1638.

It does not have much more information.

How can I try to help them fix this?

Hello Alejandro,

On general, in PcVue Help we specified supported and operational Windows Workstation as below :
Windows 10 version 1607 or later - Professional and Enterprise editions

So Windows 10 Home is not recommended and might encounter errors during startup or runtime.

Hi Alejandro,

I would say more than Kantha: Windows10 Home Edition IS NOT supported. That's written in our help 😉
