Pcvue allows creating multiple users with same name and password. As per attached snap, I am able to create two users with name as "Operator02"
I need to have a unique name and password combination for each user to compliance customer requirement. How can I achieve this with PcVue?

Hello,

How did you manage to do this ?
It should not be possible. I succeed to have something similar by deactivating "syntax check" in the compatibilty settings and creating a new with a Space char at the end. Names appears to be identical but there is a light difference with the space char at the end.

Check the setting on your side (do you need to have it deactivated ?) and if there is any space at the end of one of the Operator02.

Ah, I think it was a mistake.

From Nitesh screenshot, the user created is OPEARTOR02 and OPERATOR02. There is a spelling difference there, so they are not the exact same user, right?

We cant create a user with the same name but we can have the same password for multiple users. Can we avoid that?

Yes for 21CFR11. Having uniqueness in user name was the highest priority for a unique password moderate priority.

Hi,
While I understand the obvious requirement to not have 2 user accounts with the same name (unique Id), could you please elaborate on the need for unique passwords ? Any reference to the 21CFR11 or the xGMP ?

By definition, the password is a personal secret, and I do not really see why we would need to tell a user to pick another password, just because by chance, it is also used by someone else.

Regards
