Hello

One of our customer uses 1 PcVue server of communication and several clients staions.Today he wants to virtualize his server.

His idea is to create a VM of the project of his server and load the same VM to 2 differents physical machines.
Only 1 VM would be active at the same time.In case of failure of the active VM, VMware would switch to the other.
There's no need of hot switch here.
The dongle would be on a usb hub on the network.
I havn't seen the VM used that way and I'm not sure it could work

Do you guys have any similar experiences?
If you have some examples of architecture in virtual environnment feel free to share
Thx
François

I have no experience on that kind of architecture but I don't see any restrictions

Ditto. It should work. It is like having 2 machine and replace one machine with another one.
