Hi all,
I'm looking for some clarification on the auto refresh for the log viewer and the "Time buffer maximum length when requesting" option. How exactly does it calculate the age of the logs to be displayed? From the latest refresh? The previous refresh? Is there a recommended ratio between the auto refresh period and the time buffer period?
There is a customer I'm servicing who thought that the auto refresh function wasn't working in his small test project. Turns out that it was the time buffer causing it to not auto-refresh. The refresh was set to 5 seconds and the time buffer also to 5 seconds. I got it to work consistently and display recent logs by increasing the length of the buffer to 10 seconds, though I was able to coax out a few logs to appear with 6 or 7 second buffer settings.
