Hello,
One of our customers reports us a strange behaviour. He has a double screen display with PcVue (the version does not matter. Let's say > 8.2)
When the screens go to sleep mode and come back to normal mode, PcVue workspace resolution is changed !
For me, this is known behavior that I've seen on several occasions. On sleep mode, Windows operates a kind of "single screen only" configuration and potentially a "resize" of the remaining one.
The result is an auto-adjust of PcVue workspace because it detects a smaller resolution.
Depending on the workspace property, you are blocked in runtime.
One way out is stopping and changing paramws.dat but a restart is needed.
Even without talking about multi-screens, to demonstrate it, just start a new project (NOT in full screen) with 1920 * 1080 resolution for example. If unfortunately you switch to 1280 * 1024 and go back to 1920*1080, you are not able to recover the initial "full screen like" state (supposing no button on title bar and a Runtime dongle)
What do you think about it?
Regards
Edouard
I think you are right.
With Run time dongle this is how it works.
But when you say the screens go to sleep mode you mean Windows? Not the screens?
In Windows we should never configure sleep for hard disk or network card.
But I hope we can configure to switch off screen (monitor) after 15 minutes for example?
