Hello all,
We have a customer who want to increase webvue performance on PcVue 10 Sp1 10.0_16021. We use Internet explorer 9 and Windows 7 64 bit.
1) The first problem is the time needs for webvue in order to arrive to the login page. This time is arround 15 seconds even with a very simple project
2) The second problem is the time to refresh a webpage when we use an alarm viewer. It needs 2-3 seconds even if we have a small project.
Our customer needs to use Webvue a lot. Do you have solution to increase loading speed?
I think the first access is very long because of Java applet charging time. It will not depend on the PcVue project.
For the alarm viewer I think you can do an SPR. There is maybe something to do internally in PcVue to improve that.
Thank you Ludovic,
I made an SPR: 48038 for these problems.
Regarding the loading of the alarm viewer the time of 2/3s cannot be improved for the time being.
Because the Webserver has to query VAR to get all the alarm of the system.
So every time you will have a page with an alarm viewer you get this 2/3s delay.
But youi have to stress to your customer that Webvue is a light client. If he want very quick response then a full client is the solution (if he is in an Intranet configuration).
For your information there has been some research for improving WebVue performance but to increase it further (it was worth before) this implies a big rething of Webvue so don't expect your SPR to be corrected in a near future.
Thank you emmanuel,
So yes we can say that the customer wants to save money by using Webvue, but they want the performance of the full client.
But they also really need Webvue because they include it in a Web portal.
