Hello,
Actually, I have 2 issues regarding WebVue over Internet. Even if they do not look similar, I will start with only one topic.
The first issue is when using all the default option of Pcvue (tried with compression also), everything is working fine when the web browser is launched on a intranet (wired ou wifi) but over Internet, impossible to have something good just after the login dialog box which is well displayed.
So my question is : what are the pre requisites and ports to be checked in addition to 80 and 1981?
The second issue starts the same. When using all the default option of Pcvue (tried with compression also), everything is working fine when the web browser is launched on a intranet (wired ou wifi) but over Internet after login and the good display of the first mimic, it freezes after few seconds with a kind of fatal timeout. The WebVue timeout has been increased but behaviour is the same.
Thank you all
Edouard
First issue.
When you say ".. impossible to have something good.." what do you mean? You have a blank screen? Error message?
Second issue.
You increased the time out to how much?
From the client I suggest a ping xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx /t for a while to check the connection quality.
Last solution: Request to development team to add traces in client side. It should be very very good for us
Thank you Nicolas,
For issue 1 : after WebVue login, the error message "server not responding" is always displayed.
Issue 2 : I have forgotten to say that with the same computer and same Internet access configuration, it worked fine before migration from 8.10 to 9.0

Hello,
I guess you have already tested the connexion with and without firewall (about the question of the port number).
Did you change the java plugin ? The web browser ?
Could you "play" with internet security ?
Thanks Brice,
I am quite sure about Java runtime version which matches the version needed on both sides (server and client) but not so sure about firewall on server and client. Because of Internet, opening the firewall on one side or the other is risky even for a quick test :p I will ask the customer.
That's why I wanted a kind of pre requisites list to fulfill the funtionnality.

Edouard,
First of all, and just for information, I think WebVue doesn't need Java on server side.
Then, according your error message, I would try changing the parameter proxyserver to 1 instead 0 (by default). I think it is more adapted to the Web communication.
Of course, as said by Brice, the firewalls must be checked.
hello Edouard,
So did you fix the problem ?
Hi,
Sorry for the late answer Brice.
The problem is solved but there is no accurate answer.
The customer which company belongs to "SFR" group has tried WebVue client with another 3G provider (Bouygues Telecom) and it works really fine.
It would mean SFR has specific limitations regarding data usage!
Regards
Edouard
