Hi guys,
We received a ticket from AIT Corporation, a customer in Vietnam and they have requested a feature where the PcVue Server would be able to identify the client which sent the control command.
By referring to Architecture(1).pdf
In the Control Center, there are two clients which are reading data off PcVue through IEC 60870-5-104 protocol.
This also means that the clients in the Control Center are not running PcVue.
The customer's requirement is to send a control bit from the Clients in the Control Center to the PcVue in the Substation.
However, there's a catch to it, where the customer wants to identify where is the bit control command coming from. They want to know if it was user A0 (EMS), or user A1 (Load Dispatach Center) which sent the command.
Is there any way for us to identify such activities on PcVue?
Best regards.
Hi Andy,
I know that Emmanuel add system variables to have the possibility to know which client is connected.
Maybe you can use these system variables in extended attributes to retrieve this information in log and alarm.
@Emmanuel : Can you confirm what I'm saying please ?
Thanks
Hi
Yes there is a list of the connected client in a system variable. But if A0 and A1 are both connected we won't be able to know which one has sent the command.
I just double check and the stack does not give us this information when we receive the write command either....
Hi guys,
Thank you for your inputs!
I would proceed with this and inform the customer that this feature is currently unavailable in PcVue.
Best regards.
