Hello,
I have a question about how to use of OPC classic with the mechanism of authentication.
In my project PcVue i configured the OPC Server with the option “Use authentication “ (file attached)
I create a profile and a user in the project.
When I try to connect to the server OPC of PcVue, by default the client use the profile “DEFPROFILE” but I can’t find how
to connect using another profile.
I tried with many OPC client like (OPC Expert, UA gateway and Matrikon) but without success.
has anyone already configured the OPC Server of PcVue with this option of authentication ?

Hello,
You need some special tools to test this feature and unfortunately when using for instance MatrikonOPC Explorer (Mobile), the latest version will not make it. You will need an old version (4.0).
Please note that the browsing level in the PcVue user profile is taken into account.
If DEFPROFILE has all browsing level ticked (which should not be so at the end), connecting without password would allow you many possibilities.
