hello guys, the client asks if it is possible to display waveform(oscillogram). i know we don't have standart animation, but maybe we have some way out.
See picture
Hi Roman,
I think you must be a bit more specific. How the points are calculated? Is it real time or archives data?
Nico
Hi Nico, I got the information. the figure shows a vector diagram. the diagram is often used in the energy industry.
a method of graphical calculation of voltages and currents in alternating current circuits, in which alternating voltages and currents are symbolically (conditionally) depicted using vectors.
It is real time data
Hi Roman,
Plotting the points looks not complicated by using the position axis animations.
But the lines between points is more complex I guess!
Nico
Hi,
There is also a use case where the vector diagram is plotted based on data that are not real time but stored in disturbance recording files (the so-called COMTRADE files).
The user story could be:
1/ Select a disturbance recording file
2/ Pre-analyse of the file: When the recorded fault occurred, what is the time frame for which data are stored, identify the PcVue variables for which data are available in the file (to get descriptions, associated attributes...for display or user interaction with the vector diagram, ability to open popup mimics in the context...)
3/ Load data and display them in the vector diagram with the ability for the user to navigate in the time frame of the recorder fault - A clickable timeline at the bottom of the vector is a must.
4/ Replay the fault - Replay data for the whole time frame of the fault, as an animated gif.
This diagram is also known as the phasor diagram, can be used to represent single-phase AC (1 vector) or 3-phase AC system (3 vectors).
The sample animated gif is here 😉
