I am sure I have faced this issue before but don't remember/can't find the solution. 🙁

I am trying to set the time using SYSTEM (SETDATETIME, Date, Time) and I always get the following error in the trace window

2015/03/19,10:23:57.416,6,a,,172,Administrator,1,Message ignored:
2015/03/19,10:23:57.416,6,I,,316,Administrator,1,Message ID = Nack - Id1=0 - Id2=0
2015/03/19,10:23:57.416,6,I,,318,Administrator,1,Type = Nack
2015/03/19,10:23:57.416,6,I,,320,Administrator,1,Function = 205
2015/03/19,10:23:57.416,6,I,,322,Administrator,1,Source manager = Timer
2015/03/19,10:23:57.416,6,I,,324,Administrator,1,Destination manager = UI
2015/03/19,10:23:57.416,6,I,,326,Administrator,1,Source station = 1
2015/03/19,10:23:57.416,6,I,,328,Administrator,1,Destination station = 1

I am sure I have the format of the Date and Time parameters correct.
Any suggestions anyone?

Cheers, Robin

I suggest you create a SPR as this message is quite a bad one 🙂

I remember that this instruction does not work with new OS like Windows Seven.

It is necessary to run PcVue as administrator or to disable the UAC.

Aha - I remember now. I have already made an SPR but perhaps a note should be put in the help as well. I guess it must affect other SYSTEM commands as well?

Hi,

SPR#48457 has already created and there is a response from Thierry (but in French 🙁 ) in the "Answer" part.

Has anyone found a workaround for this problem other than running PcVue with administrator privileges? A third party app perhaps?

I now have a customer that wants to do it.....

Cheers, Robin

Hi Robin,

This is protected by the system therefore you must authorize the user setting the date and time.
Check out here: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/113557-date-time-allow-prevent-users-groups-changing.html
