Hello LON experts,

One of cutomers has a license issue of OpenLNS Server when using PcVue 11.1 communicates with OpenLNS Server. OpenLNS Server version is attached. So ECHELON technical person think it is possible there is a conflict with PcVue.

In PcVue help, It says PcVue supports OpenLNS, and not say which version.

Who can give me a suggustion? thanks.

3113=417 openLNS

BRS,
Mark

Hi Mark,

There is not a specific version supported by PcVue. What do you mean " .... a license issue"?

Sorry Mark but this is not accurate enough. How do you want we help a customer if he said "I have a problem" only ?

Hello Nico,

Yes, it is difficult to help them to solve non-PcVue issue, especially no more usefull information about it.

So the customer and I just want to see if others have experienced similar issues.

Hi Mark

What Nico I think is asking is, to get a more precise description of what the customer experience.

So the question he must answer is:
Is it a dongle issue or not?
How is the OpenLS protected? Same dongle type as PcVue or not?

Can PcVue communicate with OpenLNS and its Lon devices using a project with no PcVue dongle?
In that case does the Open LNS server stop working after a while and request a license?.

Basically you need to dig into your customer problem to have a more precise idea of where the problem is.

Bye for now

Manu
