Hi,

Today I am stuck with debugging a customer's RDP application.

The problem is quite basic. The client station is not able to retrieve a license from the server instance. I already checked/validated the following:
- Create a simple test project: 1 server, 1 client, 1 server-list, 1 client-list.
- Validate that rights are on the dongle (cross checked with other dongles, no difference in behavior).
- Check the syntax of -k switch. In order to simplify this the station-id of server station has been set to 1. Consequently switch is -k 1,1,1.
- Disabled firewall.
- Check that station.dat is the same on both stations' folders.
- Check that svts service is up and running.

Version is 10.0sp1 15000.

Do you have any further ideas?
- Can we enable additional tracing for license distribution on the server station? Or on the client station?
- Is it possible to gain further information with Wireshark? If yes, what is the best way to listen for WinNet messages?

Hello Armin

Have you share Bin and Usr folders ?
What is the -WTS switch ?
Is it possible to open station.dat from the client instance ?

What option have you choose : Use a different working folder for all Remote Desktop sessions or not ?

What is the pop up message from the client instance ?

Hi Anthony,

thanks for your response. Forget it. The problem is solved.

The customer had not taken into account what I told him...
1 ... to double check the dongle.
2 ... to check the content of the station.dat.

Anyway, the means of debugging such kind of thing are rudimentary.
