Hello.
Could anybody remind me what was the purpose of the "Data type conversion" setting for OPC groups?
I think somebody explained to me before, but I cannot remember. Online help is not very verbose on this subject...
The background of the story is that I am looking for a way to convert a signed OPC item into unsigned on PcVue level.

Hi Armin,
What I understood reading the help is: PcVue has only 1 type for the registers (float I think).
According the option selected PcVue will make the job to convert the data received to this type.
So, if you receive a signed data you can't specify in pcvue to convert to unsigned. It will convert to a float.
Maybe I misinterpret this feature, better you ask Jacques.
Please, when you will have your answer (clear I hope!), update this topic and create a documentation SPR.
