Hello Romain,

I am not sure about understanding the problem.
The aim of using Matrikon Tunneller is having the Tunneller locally.

I have already made a platform with the demo version (30 days) with 2 VM and it was not as easy as expected.
What I can say is DCOMCNFG can be mandatory to configure, depending on the OPC server because the Tunneller is run as service.

Hi Romain

You can ask to Manu NAU about Philip Morris project. I don't know if PcVue runs as client or server.

Hi Romain,

I did it long time ago (PcVue 9 I think) and it worked at first shot.
You must have 2 tunnelers, one on each side therefore no DCOM anymore (that's the Tuneller's purpose actually!).

The only bad point I had at that time was the performances. If data flow between the server and client is big then Tuneller was like a bottleneck. But I guess Matrikon improved this product since that time...

Hello Romain,

You can refer to KB650 for more details about how to use Tunneller.

Hello,

PcVue China has tested the MAtrikon&Kepware Tunneler and redundancy. Below is the info and reports.

I met some problem on the Kepware tunneling, and their engineer said it's a bug.No more info from them since then.
