Ciao Anthony,

I had Sofrel on the phone for another topic and I've asked this for you.

Sofrel FR1000 it's a front-end device (developed mainly for Veolia France) that allow to comunicate with many different telecontrols devices using different communication channel (Radio, GSM, GPRS, ADSL...).

It's protocol is called LACBUS-PC.

But as far as I know, this protocol is not implemented in CimwayPcVue.

Sofrel's guy suggest me to use the Sofrel OPC Server (DA V2) but in that case you don't need the FR1000 because the OPC Server of Sofrel it's capable to reach directly the devices in field without using FR1000 as front-end.

FR1000 have a sense only if the SCADA supports the LACBUS-PC protocol natively. Infact, in case of 2 x FR1000, you can also manage the redundancy.

Definitely, as far as I understood, nowadays the usage of FR1000 and PcVue - which doesn't have native LACBUS-PC driver, doesn't have a sense.

Hoping it helps.
