Hello,
I got a hotline that error occurred when mapping modbus variable, it says "unhandled exception has occurred...Object reference not set to an instance of an object." See screenshot attached.
OS: On Windows 7, Traditional Chinese with PcVue 10.0.
Do somebody know it why?
Thx!
I would say:
1. Try with the fresh released 10.0 SP1
2. If still crash then collect the log files and create a SPR.
Can you reproduce it on your platform?
Is it heterogeneous mapping?
I am not sure it is well supported in PcVue dialog box
Hehe, Shuquan let me tranlate the meaning of "heterogeneous mapping" which is typical french words that nobody outside France understand 😆
"heterogeneous mapping" means Multitype mapping, meaning "you want to map different variable types (words, bits, bytes...) in a single Word frame"
No, i cannot reproduce it here...that is bad.

haha, you are an excellent technical support!!!
when i tried to use the translator, and it means "Non-uniform"...
Nicolas is correct. Try with the new 10SP1 and if you cannot reproduce.... forget about it 😉
Hi guys,
I did create a SPR (#17107) for this issue.
I also did test with the last V10.0 SP1 Released and it works well...
Manu you lucky guy 😉
Hello,
I tried on 10.0 SP1 with the steps the customer took, there is no such error. But, if we map a bit frame with a register, then it pops up "format de la trame inconnu", it's normal. But, if you map a bit variable, then, it will keep pop up this dialog unless you un-map the register.
I created SPR17298 for the issue above.
As I said I already created the SPR#17107...no need to create a new one...
