Hi All,

Could any one tell that, the BACnet MSTP is working or not in PcVUe ?
When I check with Jerome, he mentioned that, it is not tested.
If say it not working, why we have informations regarding the MSTP in the HELP.

Thank you

If we look at the PICS which is accessible from the help of PcVue version 10 we can see that it is not supported.

89=12 PartOfThePics

But maybe it works and if someone take the time to test it then we will update the PICS??

We asked Jerome and are waiting for his answer. We will update this post.

You can configure a MS/TP connection in the BDSAdmin.

In the help it is written:
"The Newron BACnet server [...] supports two physical connections types"

As we never made test on our side, we can't say in the PICS that we are fully MS/TP compliant.
And even BACnet/IP Foreign Device could be checked in the PICS as the BDSServer supports it.

Hello,

As I like controversy, you will have somme difficulty to configure MSTP network in the way that you don't have the tab to configure it (screenshot from BDS 2.10.0.5).

You can communicate in BACnet MSTP by using BACnet router.

Well...
In the same version, when you "add" a new node, you'll see the MSTP tab.
But if you edit an existing node, you'll only the tab corresponding to network type.

There was a short discussion about this subject some weeks ago with Alain B., Benoît and Jacques (and maybe Nicolas).
MSTP has never been tested aither by us or Newron... So we can't say that it works, and it will be removed from the help.
