Hello,
I got some logs from customer who asked what is the meaning of the status words: e001 and e005,6001. I did not find these status words in any document.
1. But if the status word is e001, then the communication was restored 3 seconds later as below:

In help file, we can see the modbus master protocol status words:
0001 Illegal function
0005 Acknowledged: the slave has accepted the request and processing it, but will take a long time
It seems that the e005 is like 0005's description as there is a frame Acknowledged info.

Hello,
In fact the important code is the one just after.
In all your samples it is 0, means nothing was return by the PLC. You won't find any interesting information in the help.
Your remark is interesting regarding the time to recover the communication.
I don't know what to think about it.
I hope one communication expert will be able to explain us.

Just update the info for sharing:
As Manu's suggestion, we suggested the customer to increase the time out period for each PLC with 5s. Today i got the feedback that in the past day, there is no more a such log in the Event viewer. We'll follow up it.

Actually the code 0001 Illegal funciton is for the additionnal status word.
The additionnal status word is in bold
2014/10/03,02:44:18.406,4,I,,4510,GW,1,CW, 状态 e001 - 1 - 2 - 0, (1.MODBUS.HC1404.real400101_150) In your case the additionnal status workd is 0.
So the error is more a time out issue.
The there is also something strange regarding your counter.
2014/10/03,02:44:18.406,4,I,,4510,GW,1,CW, 状态 e001 - 1 - 2 - 0, (1.MODBUS.HC1404.real400101_150) In normal circumstances you should get 3 try and 1 error.
Here it show 2-0 meaning 2 tries 0 error ?!?
What is the scan rate of the frames for a given device.
Try to set them for instance at 5s and see waht are the error code.
If you still got the error please attached the PcVue configuration of your device. For instance HC1404.
