Hello!
I have an interesting question from Schneider.
They need to "recover" an old PcVue project (< v 8.10) and they didn't know/remember with which PcVue version this project was originally run.
They have only the project folder without any logfiles of the previous station (burned due of a fire event  )
Where (if possible) they can read the last PcVue version used to run theproject?
What I know is only to check for VBA references strings in ASCII mimic files to determine if the version is ENA or VBA.
Any other idea?
Thankyou for any idea/suggestion. 😉
Hello Filippo,
The only chance is the customer has used the default installation directory for PcVue or ISIS3000 project.
The first line in the VAREXP.DAT file, beginning with VERSION,... confirms the project exact directory.

Edouard, I think you could make a KB article with this trick
Thankyou Edouard! :cheer:
Just for the sake of completeness:
Since v10.0 we find this kind of information in the .svproject file, right?
Is anybody able to identify the different pieces of information given in the file?
For example:
10001
10001
I suppose 10001 means "PcVue 10.0sp1", but what is the meaning of the individual digits?
