Hello all,
Do you know some integrators who use the software Siemens TIA PORTAL and would be interested in testing, in collaboration with us, our Smart generator TIA PORTAL?
With Nicolas D., we face the problem that we don't have enought feedback from customers in order to improve the SG TIA.
Also, working with people who have good knowledge in TIA PORTAL and some equipements would be great.

Hi,
Sorry I can't help in your research.
But maybe we can communicate officially about this new tool and in a general manner I think it could be very interesting to communicate each time there is a tool developped on the fly.

Hi,
we have a common project with Siemens (BACnet). Maybe I could ask them, if you give me the details. (I dont think they want to test our software, but maybe source-files?)

Hello Greg,
I can give you an email from a teacher who uses TIA portal and has created interesting documentation for the TIA part. Here is an extract from his document. He says that the document that was sent to him (KB628) did not allow to correctly configure the connection with PcVue. His document is in French and much simpler. He's agreed to give it to us.

We don't have other documentation regarding the SG TIA PORTAL since the last time I sent it to you.
Also, if you have some feedbacks from your customers, they are welcome.

Ciao!!
I don't know if this post is still valid but I reiceved today a call from a friendly customer interested in using SG TIA Portal (version 16) with PcVue 12.
We are unable to let SG see Data Blocks exported by Tia Portal (and how to do this export properly). Any hint or updated documentation?

Did you folow the documentation I attached in this thread (see my last message)?
If yes, and still have some troubles, We would need your input files in order to investigate.
Depend what you are exporting, we will need DBxx.txt and DBx.db or just DBxx.txt

I was thinking the attachment in the forum was corrupted and instead it works!!

Hello Greg, Hello everybody! Thank to your document we moved forward in our tests. I opened two SPRs:
67888 (Smart Generator TIA PORTAL - Branch error)
67889 (Smart Generator TIA PORTAL - Array Import error)
I don't have TIA portal on my machine but this customer is quite a friend so for any additional info we can try to ask him. Thankyou!!!
