Today I have a question about the Configuration>Project>Import/Export feature in PcVue.
The question is simple: What is it good for?
I understand that the import function allows you to import configuration data from custom files upon project start-up and thus prevent these particular parts of the configuration from being altered by a user. But what is the difference compared to putting configuration data into the C1 subfolder?
Is there any distinction when to use either one or the other?
As far as I have seen there is no description of this feature in the online-help...

IMPORT/EXPORT is the old feature.
Now we are all using C1 that is not limited in term of file to Import.
But, C1 is used only for Import. There is no way to Export in C1.
Usually the C1 files are created by a third party software. It's the ancestor of the Smart Generator!
