Hello everyone,
I'm at the beginning of the big project migration plus new features implementation. It was created for PcVue 7 a long time ago 🙂 The architecture is 2 redundant servers.
Had anybody has the same experience? What can you say about future problems during the migration?
I've already created my to do list of the main works:
-Enable->VBA
-SCADA Basic: old system vars->new system vars
-redundancy configuration
-proprietary archive->SQL redundant archives with replication (renew configuration+delete SCADA Basic programs for redundant server architecture)
-symbols library
-and a lot of small changes of the mimics, text, etc which are not connected with the PcVue version...
What else should I pay attention to?
All the advices, warnings and recommendations are welcomed! 🙂

I would say, migrate from 7 to 8 then from 8 to 9 and then from 9 to 11.

you can also check event, specially if you have more than one event for one variable.

Do I need to migrate 8.0->8.1->8.2? Or I can skip this step and just migrate 7->8.2?

I would say 7 -> 8.0 -> 9.0 -> 11.0

Hi, did you succeeded ?
I got a customer who asked could we help them to upgrade the project made by PCVUE32 7.10C to the latest version of PcVue as their'd hardware is too old...

I did transfer the project from PcVue 7 to PcVue 11 but the project haven't finished yet and I'm waiting for equipments and PCs to check everything.
All main steps to do are in my message above and in the advices here

Hello,
What kind of communication protocol is used ? Serial ? Ethernet ? OPC ?
Be carefull about DCOM with new OS, it is not so easy to configure it.
