Hello,
a customer migrated his project from PcVue 10 to PcVue 11.1. The configuration consist of 2 servers PcVue on Windows Server 2012 R2, each of server has 8 rds clients. The problem appears with domain name.
If the customer uses PC name (for example PCname01) in the host name for station node settings then the configuration will work correctly and the rds clients can receive the licence from the server. If there is domain name in the station settings (fox example PCname01.domain.name.net) then PcVue will not understand the station configuration and as result a rds client will not receive the license.
Does anybody meet something like this?

Should PcVue understand such domain names in station settings?
What can be the reason for PcVue do not see station by domain name?
PS Ping is ok.

Ciao Anna!

I'm surprised from your discovery: apparently PcVue must use the Netbios PC name and not the DNS one.
That's also the reason why if you click on the little button here:

3524=489 Immagin22e

It will display a page to browse your network using Netbios names and not DNS ones.

Sorry, I didn't understand - do you think PcVue can't and couldn't use DNS name?
Can it be that it worked in PcVue 10 because of -k option?

FYI:
I spoke with Dominique. The issue is a regression after one of the changeset about station checking.
More information in SPR 63160 🙂
