Procedure to update a project using the "old" style grid?

I have a customer updating from 8.something to 11.2. Some of the mimics include the old SVUIGrd grid control. I guess we must have encountered this problem before.

What is the easiest way to update the mimics to use the new grid?

I guess; Remove the grid, save, insert the new one would be the safest way to do
