Hello,

I have a contact who has a PcVue version 6.04 d running on Windows XP and he now wants/needs to run PcVue on Windows 7. Obviously he needs to change PcVue version.
What would be the best path ("stepping stones" version) and what are the know issues?
He doesn't actually need to go up to version 11 since version 9 was already running on Windows 7.
Thank you.

I advice you make an audit of the project ( Communication, Archives, Action, Scripts ...)

Scripts are sensible because some mode have different behaviour between version.

For exemple there a know issue on event, if you have two events one the same variable, only one is loaded.

And it is a good idea not go until version 11. Just limit the migration to version 9.

I remember a document done by François, which listed important points for such migration.

See KB90, KB49, KB220 and KB221 for more information.

Hmmm why not going to V11???

I would suggest going to V11 but migrating step by step: 6.04 -> 8.0 -> 10.0 -> 11.0

And as said by Romain, yes make an audit in case...
