Production PcVue hosted in VMWare

Hi,
We've a request from a customer asking if it is possible to have PcVue in a virtual machine environment running 24/7 daily for actual production. The client deals with power utility.

Below is an excerpts taken from the help file. What does "Operational but may have limitations in use" means.

Hi Irwan,

Running in a VmWare VM is OK. The only point the customer must take care is the dongle management.
Indeed, the dongle can't be shared between 1 VM and the Host or between several VMs hosted on he same machine.
In that case, customer must use the Network dongle feature.

Yes with virtualization you can have hardware issues, no problem with software.

For example if you need a specific card to comunicate with an equipment and this card is not supported by VMWare then you can't use this card.
