Hello,

If I say SvBacth, what would you reply?
- It is a great and powerful feature for PcVue and it should still be used
- It should not be used anymore

Honestly, I would advice not to use it nowadays because there are more powerful product for that purpose and it is quite difficult to implement and in addition to maintain.

What is your opinion?

Hello,
It WAS a great and powerful feature for PcVue and it IS still used in the JUMO layer (SVS3000).
I am currently working on the upgrade of SVS3000 (PcVue OEM for JUMO), which has to be migrated from V9 to V11.2

Because the feature SvBatch takes part in this product, it must work in the last version of PcVue.

But, I agree with you : "there are more powerful product for that purpose and it is quite difficult to implement and in addition to maintain"

You have to know that SVBATCH feature was implemented before Visual Basic was in PcVue.

Yes it is
- It should not be used anymore
Yes, to do the same thing more easily now you can use the couple SQL Express/VBA

I knew about new SVS 😉
Of course if an important project uses SvBatch feature, it would be quite a huge work to code it another way.
In that case, what previously worked has to work again with latest version of PcVue.

The question is starting from scratch, would you use SvBatch now?

Nope.
But not because of svbatch but because that you must do everything is scada basic...

If we have svbatch accessible by VBA it will be very good!
